The objective of the T-Gallery Heritage Façade and Awning Lighting project was to design a lighting solution that would enhance the heritage façade and awning, boosting the appeal for retail business tenants. My responsibilities included specifying light fittings, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, designing pendants, conducting lighting calculations, producing technical renders, and overseeing lighting specifications, installation, and circuiting. Additionally, I managed the supply and installation process. The project faced challenges such as highlighting the heritage features without overpowering them, enhancing the retail environment while meeting public safety lighting requirements set by the local authority, and adhering to a short project timeline. The final design achieved stakeholder satisfaction and full compliance with regulations.
