He holds membership with the Illumination Engineers Society (IESANZ); the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) as an Associate Member and is accredited as a Professoinal Engineer by Engineers Australia. Steve’s expertise spans across Australian and US lighting and engineering standards, regulatory compliance for local councils and road lighting, advanced lighting design and building information modelling (BIM), as well as luminaire design. His
portfolio includes high-profile projects such as airports, train stations, sports stadiums, commercial skyscrapers, and governmental buildings. Steve is also proficient in project leadership and cost management.
Guangfa Ou, a strategic partner at SLDC, brings over nine years of specialised experience in lighting design and project execution. His expertise lies in the development of innovative lighting concepts, the creation of technical renderings, and comprehensive project management. Guangfa’s creativity is evident in his custom luminaire designs, which are tailored to meet the unique needs of each project.
