The objective of this project was to upgrade the lighting system of a heritage church. As the team leader and presenter of the design project, I was responsible for overseeing the technical aspects, including specifying light fittings, ensuring compliance with standards, designing pendants, conducting lighting calculations, and creating an emergency lighting design. The project faced several challenges, such as remote collaboration via Teams, coordinating with team members from diverse backgrounds, working within a short timeline, and adhering to strict mounting and installation requirements to protect heritage elements. Despite these challenges, we successfully met the client’s expectations while staying within budget.
